THAILAND

CHIANGMAI, THAILAND (29th December 2022 – 3rd January 2023)

This was a very special trip for all of us. More than just a family trip consisting of my family, my sister’s family and my mum, it was also to celebrate the birthdays of the “zeros”. My daughter ZC (Adventure Name: BR:@ Packer) turned 20 in the new year and my mom (Adventure Name: Mummy BR:@) would turn 70. As for me, I would celebrate the big 5-0 in 2023, hence the nickname of the trip – “The Big-0 Celebration”. Unfortunately, my elder boy OC (Adventure Name: Angler BR:@) had exams over that period, and he couldn’t make it.

The others on this trip were my dear wifey (Adventure Name: BR:@’s Better Half ) and my younger boy GC (Adventure Name: I’m BR:@ Man) together with my sister RC (Adventure Name: BR:@ Babe), her hubby MF (Adventure Name: Macho BR:@), my favourite nephew GMF (Adventure Name: Be Right BR:@) and my favourite niece REF (Adventure Name: Baby BR:@) – nine of us in total!

Chiangmai is located at the northwestern side of Thailand, approximately 500km from the capital city of Bangkok. The area is hilly and mountainous, not too far from the border of Myanmar. With the higher latitude and being fully into the winter period in the northern hemisphere, the weather was pretty cool throughout our time there.
